WHAT COMES WITH BULLYING!

How Adults Can Help Stop Bullying

First, an adult must recognize the situation, whether it's emotionally through the victim or physically appearing. Similar to children, an adult must speak up and address the situation. Zero toleration from an adult will set a firm tone. If the bully attempts to change the story, talk directly to their guardians on behalf of the situation so the story doesn't change and there is a solution and an ending. Model empathy towards the child for relief. It will show appreciation and care towards their self. Bullying is not apart of growing up. It shouldn't be ignored.

Affects that bullying has on children

Young children who are bullied usually have a difficult time growing up. Being bullied at a young age has a bigger impact than being bullied as an adult. When children are young they tend to believe everything that they are told allowing the bully to manipulate them and make them feel sad.
Bullying affects children's eating habits and sleep schedule. Children may begin to lack interest on activities that they have always enjoyed. It is proven in young children that being bullied increases the chance of them growing up being diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Being bullied as a child causes children to feel lonely and also decreases the chance that they will trust people to make new friends. Bullied children isolate themselves from social events, they grow up creating negative thoughts about themselves. Young children do not understand why they are being bullied, they feel many mixed emotions, neither emotions are happiness. Being a victim of bullying causes children to question their purpose in life. No more innocent children need to suffer from bullies!

What is bullying?

Bullying is a sign of weakness, bullies usually attempt to intimidate others and pressure them to do what they do not want to do. Bullying does not occur every once in a while. Bullying happens every single day around the world whether we witness it or not, it is still happening. Bullying has the potential to happen more than once, especially when there is no one brave enough to speak up. Here are three different types of bullying: Verbal, Social and Physical. Bullying is not an accident, it is a choice to repeatedly hurt someone and make them feel bad enough to not talk about it. Bullying makes the world an unsafe environment filling the targets with fear. Stand Up! Speak Out!
